Santo Domingo.- The National District Mayor s Office is advancing the construction of the Sports Boardwalk, set to become a centerpiece of the renovated Santo Domingo Boardwalk. This project is part of the broader Santo Domingo Integrated Plan, which aims to transform 1.7 kilometers of the capital’s seawall in its first phase, under the leadership of Mayor Carolina Mejía and President Luis Abinader. Betsy Luciano, supervisor of the city council’s Infrastructure Department, presented the project’s progress, highlighting preparations for bleachers, beach volleyball courts, and two food courts with terraces, as well as the layout for outdoor sidewalks, benches, and streetlights.
