New cases of malaria, dengue fever, and other diseases reported

Santo Domingo – The Ministry of Public Health reiterated this Thursday that there are still no reported cases of cholera in the Dominican Republic, while reminding the public that measures have been reinforced at the border and other points of entry into the country. In issue 42 of the epidemiological bulletin, the Ministry of Public Health specified that, through the National Epidemiological Surveillance System (SINAVE), monitoring continues to ensure timely notification of this and other notifiable diseases. He also stressed the importance of maintaining preventive measures to avoid cholera, such as frequent handwashing, drinking purified water, and eating safe food.
