Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Port Authority (APORDOM) and the Specialized Corps of Port Security (CESEP) officially certified the Samaná Bayport tourist and cruise terminal under the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code. The certification, valid for five years, confirms that the terminal in Santa Bárbara de Samaná meets both national and international safety standards for port operations. During the ceremony, APORDOM director Jean Luis Rodríguez highlighted the importance of this achievement, stating that the new certification opens the door for cruise ships to begin arriving in the coming months, reinforcing the country’s position in the regional tourism market.
